The famous oncologist and surgeon Radan Džodić passed away
Long-term director of the Institute of Oncology and Radiology of Serbia, prof. Dr. Radan Džodić died at the age of 68 in Belgrade, Radio Television of Serbia (RTS) reported.
Džodić was a full professor at the Faculty of Medicine in Belgrade and former director of the Institute of Oncology and Radiology of Serbia.
He was born in 1952 in Golija.
He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in 1978, and became a full professor of oncological surgery in 2005.
He was also the vice-president of the World Federation of Oncological Surgical Associations, and he published around two hundred papers in domestic and foreign journals.
He trained in France and Japan, and during his working life he performed more than 10.000 operations.
He is the holder of several awards in the field of medical achievements.
