His optional subject in the UPSC exam was Political Science and International Relations. He devoted eight to 10 hours per day for his studies. He trained at Sarath Chandra IAS Academy for mains and interview.
He worked part-time as a lab technician at a private diabetic centre during his Intermediate studies and was selected for the constable post in 2012. He joined duty in October 2013 at Gudluru, situated previously in Prakasam district and now in Nellore after reorganisation, later worked at the Marine police station.
Speaking to TNIE, Uday shared, “Once our circle inspector insulted me in front of nearly 60 colleagues bearing a personal grudge. He ordered an extra drill for more than an hour as disciplinary action. It hurt me a lot, and I quit the job in August 2018.”
Despite challenges, he pursued his dream of cracking the civil services exam. With the support of the then SP of Prakasam district Siddharth Kaushal, he overcame hurdles and succeeded.
He was lucky to have financial and emotional support from his brother Pranay Krishna Reddy, maternal uncle Koti Reddy, and friends Yogi, Siva Kumar, Sarath Chandra, Sunil, and Rajesh.

There is no feedback that shows how the pattern he discerns can lead to a more meaningful interpretation of each singular instance. One can admire the brave attempt to tackle critically what is very often taken for granted by looking at such large issues, but I am afraid that many readers will be put off by the language he uses. It reflects the opacity of much of the prose of many of his favourite authors, among others Marilyn Strathern and Gilles Deleuze. Several key concepts in his particular language game are only exemplified by metaphors the source (tenor) of which will be quite unfamiliar to most readers, with the result that their target (vehicle) will become even more obscure. It is also confusing that Jiménez gives a very peculiar interpretation of some of these sources. For example in his epistemology ‘strabismus’ means that the objects held in view by one eye are playfully deformed by the other eye.
